Flying Adventure: Mpumalanga – Day 2 (FAGraskp – FANS – FAHazy – FAKN):

The day starts with fog and mist at Graskop. We take it easy and wait over coffee and breakfast until the temperatures rise and the skies clear up.

It is from then on a day of proper bush flying along the escarpment and lowveld.
From Graskop we fly in a southerly direction to Sabie. But we have to abort the touch and go at Sabie due to children playing on the airfield and who were seemingly unaware of the dangers an aircraft rolling over the runway can pose to them.
We leave them in their peace enjoying their games, whilst we enjoy our flying and the scenery.

Then follows a stop at Nelspruit, near Kruger, for re-fueling and off we are again, low level to Hazyview.
We stop for a couple phone calls to organise a place to stay in the area, which stocks a few cold beers.

From Hazyview we head off to White River for a touch and go. This is an uphill 600m runway! Not much room for error here.

We head on to Kruger International and stay over at Destiny Country Lodge, conveniently located about 5min from FAKN.
