Flying Adventure: Around South Africa – Day 3 (FASH – FASH):
The weatherman has it with us today and provides a day with nearly perfect visibility for a scenic flight around the cape peninsula.

After departure from Stellenbosch we route to Table View on the Atlantic coast and from there along the coast line past Cape Town down to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Around Cape Point and along False Bay towards The Strand, with some low level beach flying at the end to finish off our scenic flight around the cape peninsula, and turning back to Stellenbosch.

The Cape Peninsula is unquestionably one of the most breathtaking places on mother earth. Enjoy for yourself.
The Cape of Good Hope is of significance to seafarers. Initially these were ships sailing south the Atlantic ocean in search for the Far East. At the Cape of Good Hope the ship would start travelling more eastwards then southwards.
Cape Point is the promontory of the peninsula and lies further east and slightly north of the Cape of Good Hope. Neither is however the most southern point of the African continent. The most southern point of Africa is Cape Agulhas. We will pass there tomorrow.
